List of All testing of Transformer

. Magnetic Balance Test:

This test checks for balance in the magnetic circuit of a transformer. It helps identify issues such as unbalanced flux in the transformer core, which can lead to inefficiency or damage over time.

2. Magnetizing Current Test:

This test measures the current required to magnetize the transformer core at no-load conditions. It helps in determining the quality of the core and assessing losses in the transformer.

3. Voltage Ratio Test:

This test ensures that the voltage transformation ratio is within the specified limits. It confirms that the transformer operates as per its design and rated voltage.

4. Polarization Index (PI):

The Pl test measures the insulation resistance of the transformer over time. A higher PI value indicates better insulation quality, ensuring safe operation over long periods.

5. Core, Frame, Tank (CFT) Measurements:

This test checks the integrity of the transformer's core, frame, and tank for any physical issues like leaks, cracks, or damage that could affect its performance and safety.

6. Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA):

SFRA detects mechanical and electrical faults in the transformer's windings and core. It involves applying a range of frequencies to check for abnormal responses that could indicate structural issues.

7. Short Circuit Test:

This test simulates short circuit conditions to measure the transformer's impedance and fault currents. It's essential to ensure the transformer's ability to withstand high fault currents without damage

8. Open Circuit Test:

This test is performed under no-load conditions to determine the core losses and excitation current. It helps assess the efficiency of the transformer and ensures that no excessive losses occur.

9. Winding Resistance Measurement (WRM):

WRM measures the resistance of the transformer windings to detect faults like winding degradation or short circuits. It helps in evaluating the health of the windings.

10.Tan Delta Test:

This test evaluates the insulation condition by measuring the dielectric losses. Higher tan delta values may indicate insulation degradation, signaling the need for maintenance or replacement.

11. Transformer Turns Ratio Measurement (TTRM):

TTRM checks the ratio of the number of turns in the primary winding to the secondary winding. This ensures the transformer is providing the correct voltage transformation according to its design.

12. Vector Group Verification (YNyn0d1):

This test checks the transformer's vector group, which defines the phase difference between primary and secondary windings. It ensures proper operation of the transformer in the power network, especially for parallel operation.
