1.0.0: the first stable release

Five MEP tools, and calculators that show their formulas instead of hiding them — here's what ships in the first stable release.

MTMEPTools Dev · Platform team·18 Jul 2026·2 min read

This is the first stable release. Six tools, two disciplines-worth of layout work and four single-page calculators, all built to the same standard: show the engineer the numbers, not just the answer.

What ships today

  • Plant Room Studio (MEP-01) — 2D/3D MEP plant-room layout, equipment placement, maintenance-access and clearance checks, with DXF/IFC exchange.
  • Ceiling Coordination Studio (MEP-02) — plan, route, and auto-arrange above-ceiling MEP services.
  • Voltage Drop & Cable Size Checker (ELC-01) — LV cable sizing and voltage-drop verification against BS 7671 data or custom impedance values.
  • Duct Pressure Drop Calculator (MEC-01) — single-duct-run pressure drop via Darcy-Weisbach/Swamee-Jain and Huebscher equivalent diameter.
  • Water Pipe Pressure Drop & Pump Head Calculator (PLB-01) — plumbing hydraulics, pump head, and pump power.

Calculators that show their work

None of these tools are black boxes. Formulas, source tables, and assumptions are shown alongside every result, so the number you copy into a report is one you can defend in a design review.

What’s not here yet

The layout tools are entitlement-gated for premium exports (DXF/IFC), and the roadmap has more coming — an MEP project-tracking hub chief among it. This release is the foundation, not the finish line.
