If MEPTools.com is later transferred to a company, trade licence, sole establishment, partnership, or other legal entity, these Terms may be updated to identify the new legal operator.

If you use MEPTools.com on behalf of a company, employer, client, project team, authority, consultant, contractor, or other organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. In that case, references to “you” include both you and that organisation.

Some features may require an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete account information and to keep it updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account, whether authorised by you or not, unless caused by our breach of these Terms.

You must notify us promptly if you become aware of unauthorised access to your account or any security incident affecting your use of MEPTools.com.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate an account if we reasonably believe that account information is inaccurate, the account is being misused, the account creates legal or security risk, or the account violates these Terms.

## 6. User tiers, subscriptions, and access rights

MEPTools.com may offer the following user tiers:

| Tier              | Typical access                                                                                          |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Unregistered user | Limited access to selected public tools or content. |
| Free user | Access to selected free tools, saved preferences, or limited workflows. |
| Pro user | Access to selected paid tools, exports, saved workflows, or advanced features. |
| Max user | Access to broader paid features, higher usage allowances, advanced workflows, or premium functionality. |

The exact features, limits, prices, usage allowances, export rights, support levels, and restrictions for each tier may be shown on the website, pricing page, checkout page, or applicable order flow.

We may add, remove, rename, modify, restrict, or discontinue tiers or features. If a change materially reduces the core paid functionality of your active subscription, we will handle that change in accordance with applicable law and the terms presented to you at the time of purchase.

## 7. Trials, free features, and beta features

We may offer free features, trial access, promotional access, early access, or beta features. These may be limited by time, usage, geography, account type, tool, export type, project count, or other restrictions.

Trial, promotional, early access, and beta features may be changed, suspended, or withdrawn at any time, unless the applicable offer expressly states otherwise.

Beta and experimental features may be incomplete, inaccurate, unstable, or changed without notice. You must not rely on beta or experimental outputs as the sole basis for design, construction, procurement, safety decisions, compliance decisions, statutory submissions, authority approvals, or commercial commitments.

## 8. Payments, billing, and taxes

Paid Services may require payment of subscription fees, one-time fees, usage-based fees, export fees, add-on fees, or other charges shown at checkout or in the applicable order flow.

MEPTools.com may offer **monthly** and **annual** subscription billing. Available billing cycles may vary by plan, country, promotion, checkout provider, or account type.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, paid Services are priced and charged in **United States Dollars (USD)**.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Your payment provider may apply its own terms, verification requirements, fraud screening, processing rules, chargeback rules, and payment method conditions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

- fees are charged in the currency shown at checkout;
- fees are exclusive of taxes, duties, bank charges, card charges, foreign exchange fees, and similar costs;
- you are responsible for all taxes and charges applicable to your purchase;
- subscription fees renew automatically according to the billing cycle shown at checkout;
- you authorise us and our payment provider to charge the payment method you provide for applicable fees.

If a payment fails, is reversed, is disputed, or is not received when due, we may suspend or restrict access to paid features until the issue is resolved.

## 9. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a subscription according to the cancellation process made available in your account, checkout provider, or support workflow.

Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless required by applicable law or stated in the [Refund Policy](/refund-policy).

Refunds are governed by our [Refund Policy](/refund-policy). The Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms or in the Refund Policy limits any mandatory refund, cancellation, repair, replacement, or consumer remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

## 10. Engineering outputs and generated documents

MEPTools.com may generate calculations, reports, schedules, layouts, validation results, markups, recommendations, engineering documents, or other outputs.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, approving, and applying all outputs before using them for any project, design, construction, procurement, cost estimate, tender, authority submission, inspection, commissioning, safety decision, or contractual purpose.

You must independently verify all inputs, assumptions, equations, standards, code references, units, environmental conditions, project requirements, authority requirements, safety factors, diversity factors, equipment data, manufacturer data, and calculation results.

You must not represent any MEPTools.com output as finally approved, authority-approved, professionally certified, construction-ready, or suitable for statutory submission unless it has been reviewed and approved by a properly qualified and authorised professional.

Further limitations are set out in the [Engineering Disclaimer](/engineering-disclaimer).

## 11. Standards, codes, and reference material

MEPTools.com may refer to engineering standards, codes, tables, formulas, industry practice, authority requirements, manufacturer guidance, or public reference material.

Such references are provided for workflow support only. You are responsible for confirming that:

- the referenced standard, code, table, or authority requirement is applicable to your project;
- the edition, amendment, jurisdiction, and local authority interpretation are correct;
- you have the right to use any standard, code, table, or proprietary material required for your work;
- the calculation methodology is suitable for the project conditions;
- the final design complies with all applicable requirements.

MEPTools.com does not guarantee that any reference material is complete, current, exhaustive, suitable for your jurisdiction, or sufficient for compliance.

## 12. AI-assisted features

MEPTools.com may include AI-assisted features that help draft, summarise, explain, validate, or generate engineering-related content.

AI-assisted outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, inconsistent, or unsuitable for your project. You must review and verify AI-assisted outputs before using them.

You must not use AI-assisted outputs as the sole basis for engineering decisions, safety decisions, statutory submissions, authority approvals, construction instructions, procurement, or contractual commitments.

Further limitations are set out in the [AI Disclaimer](/ai-disclaimer).

## 13. Your content and project data

- creates safety, security, legal, or regulatory risk.

Our handling of personal data is described in the [Privacy Policy](/privacy).

## 14. Confidentiality and sensitive project information

MEPTools.com may be used with project-related information, but it is not intended to receive highly confidential, classified, export-controlled, security-sensitive, restricted, or regulated information unless we expressly state that the relevant feature is suitable for that type of information.

You are responsible for checking whether your employer, client, authority, project contract, professional obligation, or applicable law permits you to submit information into MEPTools.com.

You must not upload or enter information that would breach a non-disclosure agreement, project security rule, client instruction, employer policy, authority restriction, or legal obligation.

## 15. Acceptable use
