# Exporting an image

Open **Export Image** on the ribbon to save the current section as a PNG or JPG.

## Content

Choose what the export includes with a preset:

- **As on screen** — matches whatever overlays are currently visible in the workspace.
- **Section** — a fixed preset for a clean section view.
- **Custom** — pan and zoom the canvas yourself, then export exactly that framing.

Changes you make here apply to the export only and revert once you leave the panel — they
don't change your saved view settings.

## Quality

**Standard**, **High**, or **Max** — higher quality renders at a larger pixel scale. Very
large sections are automatically reduced to fit the browser's maximum image size; you'll see
a note when that happens.

## Background

**Transparent**, **White**, or a **Custom** colour. JPG has no transparency, so choosing
Transparent with a JPG export falls back to white automatically.

## Worker figures in the export

The same **Off / Access / Floor** worker overlay control from Visibility Settings applies to
the exported image, so you can include or drop the reach-envelope figure from the shot.

## What isn't covered here

There's no DXF or IFC export for this tool — only PNG/JPG images. For saving and reopening
the underlying project, see
[Saving & projects](/tools/ceiling-coordination-studio/docs/saving-and-projects).
