# Introduction

Ceiling Coordination Studio (MEP-02) is a 2D cross-section editor for coordinating
mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services inside a ceiling void. Place HVAC ducts, dry
cable trays, and wet pipes into named zones (**Zone D**, **Zone E**, **Zone A**, **Zone B**,
**Zone C**), attach branches with take-offs and terminations, and check the layout against
coordination checks covering zone boundaries, the access corridor, clearances, branch
routing, and document integrity.

The one-click **Auto arrange** tool runs a multi-pass layout engine that sizes the zones,
packs every service, and reroutes branches around clashes — then reports how many
iterations it took and any residual issues. See [Auto arrange](/tools/ceiling-coordination-studio/docs/auto-arrange).

The tool is 2D-only (no 3D view) and is available on Pro and above plans. On a phone or
narrow window it opens as a **view-only** viewer for saved projects — you can open and view
a project but not create or edit the layout; use a desktop-width screen to edit.

## Where to go next

- [Getting started](/tools/ceiling-coordination-studio/docs/getting-started) — create your
  first void and place services.
- [The workspace](/tools/ceiling-coordination-studio/docs/interface) — ribbon, panels, and
  selection.
- [Zones & bands](/tools/ceiling-coordination-studio/docs/zones-and-bands) — what each zone
is for and how they resize together.
- [Compliance checks](/tools/ceiling-coordination-studio/docs/compliance-rules) — every rule
the tool checks your layout against.
