# Ducts, trays & pipes

## The three kinds

| Kind        | UI name        | Default size    | Default zone |

| HVAC        | **Duct**       | 600 × 300 mm    | Zone D       |
| Dry (cable) | **Cable tray** | 300 × 100 mm    | Zone A       |
| Wet         | **Pipe**       | 100 mm diameter | Zone C       |

Add one from the **Electrical**, **Mechanical**, or **Pipes** ribbon verb. Every service has
a free-text **Label** field (placeholder text like "e.g. Return", "e.g. Power",
"e.g. Sprinkler"), a **Color**, and its size fields (**Width** / **Height** for ducts and
trays, **Diameter** for pipes).

## Duct flags

- **Low Condensation Risk Duct** — puts the duct in Zone E instead of Zone D, and lets it
  pass over the cable-tray zone. Use it only for ducts that genuinely won't sweat onto the
  electrical zone below.

## Cable tray flags

- **ELV / signal tray** — marks the tray as carrying data or signal cables. Coordination
  keeps a wider gap between an ELV tray and a power tray than the project's normal
  clearance, and groups them separately. See

## Branches

Add a branch from any face of a service — **Add branch left / right / top / bottom** — to
model a take-off. Branch geometry, take-off sides, and terminations are covered on

## Deleting a service

Deleting a service with branches deletes the service and all of its branches as one
undoable action; the confirmation dialog states how many branches will go with it.

## Colour and multi-editing

Selecting more than one service switches the inspector to **Multiple selection**, where you
can set a shared **Colour** or bulk-rename the set — see
