# Introduction

**Plant Room Studio** (tool code **MEP-01**) is a 2D/3D layout tool for MEP plant rooms. You
draw the room shell, drop equipment from a built-in library — MV switchgear and transformers,
LV panels, UPS/battery/generator backup, pumps, AHUs and other mechanical plant, and ELV/ICT
racks and panels — and get **live clearance validation** as you work.
Finished layouts export to **DXF**, **IFC**, **PDF**, or **PNG/JPG**.

## Who it is for

MEP engineers and coordinators laying out electrical rooms, plant rooms, and ICT/data spaces
who need a fast way to check that equipment fits and that maintenance clearances are respected —
before committing the layout to CAD or BIM.

> **Library values are indicative, not certified.** Every built-in equipment item ships with
> typical footprint, clearance, weight, and heat-load figures drawn from common manufacturer
> datasheets. They are flagged as defaults and are **not** approved for project use — always
> verify against your actual equipment schedule and your authority having jurisdiction.
