Water Pipe Pressure Drop & Pump Head Calculator (PLB-01) is a formula-only plumbing hydraulics
calculator for preliminary pressure-drop and pump-head estimates on a single pipe path.

Use it to compute water velocity, Reynolds number and flow regime, straight-pipe Darcy-Weisbach
friction loss (laminar 64/Re or the Swamee-Jain turbulent approximation), user-entered fitting and
valve minor loss from a ΣK list, total pump head (friction + minor + static + residual), and the
resulting hydraulic and shaft power when fluid properties, pipe geometry, and assumptions are
provided.

The tool does not include protected standards tables, manufacturer data, pipe-roughness lookup
tables, fitting-K libraries, pipe-size schedules, or fixture-unit loading. Pipe roughness and
fitting K values are user-entered engineering assumptions. Treat the report as a transparent
preliminary calculation, not an approved design, code-compliance check, or pump selection.
